*Deliveries - We deliver to most of the Grand Strand area. Minimum order size for delivery is $100. The delivery fee is $25 or $2 a mile if the location is 12 or more than miles away from the nursery (based in Socastee). To place an order for delivery, contact us directly.

  • Some of our plants are local ecotypes. This means they were grown from wild grown seeds from our region (coastal South Carolina) following ethical seed collecting practices. Local ecotypes are genetically best adapted to thrive in the unique environmental conditions of a particular area. They also contribute genetic diversity which can improve species’ resilience.

  • A plug is simply a smaller version of plants, grown in an individual cell on a tray. They will reach the same mature size as plants that are grown in larger nursery containers. They are typically a few inches wide and deep, depending on the tray size.

    Plugs are a great option to save cost and labor when creating dense, diverse plantings. They make native plants more accessible and take some stress out of trying a new species. They are better for planting around mature trees and shrubs because they cause minimal impact to the root zone.

    We sell individual plugs that can be mixed and matched - this is a great way to create a pollinator garden “starter kit!” We also sell complete trays at a bulk discount by request.

    The downside of plugs is that they will take longer to reach their mature size. They can also require additional watering to establish since they have a smaller root system. Patience and early care are rewarded in the long run - they tend to establish into more resilient plants because they receive less transplant shock than plants in larger containers.
