Maeve Snyder (Owner, SnailSeed Native Plants) will be giving a talk at Brookgreen Gardens about Native Plant Garden Design.

This presentation will cover the fundamental science and skills needed to take an ecological and sustainable approach to home gardening and landscaping. Maeve will focus on the importance of native plants, the fascinating interactions between plants and wildlife, and practical actions home gardeners can use to create healthy habitats. 

Participants will learn about local ecosystems in the Grand Strand region, explore sustainable landscaping challenges and solutions, discover the science behind plant-insect interactions, and gain best practices for gardening with native plants and applying ecological landscape design principles.
